Heellpp!! Locking my Blackberry

Hi, I'm new to Blackberries and I want to know how to password lock my Blackberry Torch. I set up a password, but I assumed it would lock the phone when I pressed the lock button on the top of the Blackberry. But, I have to select "Password Lock" from the menu and then it's locked.

Is there anyway I can make it so that it locks when I press the lock botton on the top, instead of having to select it on the menu. Pleassee.. I love this phone and I want everything to be perfect! :smileytongue:

Helpp! :smileyhappy:

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

Nope -- what you are witnessing is WAD -- Working As Designed. There should be an on screen "Password Lock" icon that may be faster than using the menu (depending on where you have that icon located, of course).

Good luck!

Nah, I'll just sacrifice my 'convenience key' for the lock. Thanks anyway :smileyhappy:
