My Carrier: T-Mobile

Help! Need to Unlock Torch From AT&T to T-Mobile!

So I just bought a Blackberry Torch 9800 from eBay. The phone is locked to AT&T and I'm a T-Mobile customer. I called T-Mobile and she told me to call AT&T. AT&T can't help me because it's technically not on their network anymore. I tried to call Blackberry but, I'm sorry, there are no humans and my problem doesn't make any sense to the automated system. So, how do I unlock my phone to get it to accept my T-Mobile SIM card?\
