Re: Help!!!!!

And it's a problem with MTN, not sure why you're upset with BlackBerry.

Re: Help!!!!!

not sure it is....our phones here are not tied down to a carrier, that means if u think MTN is screwing up, u can pop out their sim card, insert another Carrier's sim card and u are good to go......that's the thing now, I paid for an etisalat blackberry plan and inserted the sim into my phone....it didnt work....but both plans work fine on my other older blackberry(curve 8900)

Re: Help!!!!!

Ok, see you're telling us stuff now that you haven't earlier.

You need to ask Etilsat if this 9360 is registered in their database...

yes, you can "pop" SIM cards in and out, but the PIN of the BlackBerry does get 'tied' to a certain SIM -- for BIS BlackBerry Services.

So, your SIM card could have the older model still on your plan.

Yes you are way ahead of me... and again, you're sharing information bit-by-bit and only when asked.

So, please tell me ALL that you have previously done and know up until this point. Otherwise, please understand that I don't have a crystal ball, and this guessing game is no fun.

Your turn, please.

Re: Help!!!!!

LOL...fine....I abandoned the phone for bout three weeks....it was having the 'freeze at booting screen' issue....finally tried reloading the os in nojvm mode after wiping it in BB Mcp area 51 option. It worked but the phone refused register on the network, initially I thot it was an error reloading the OS so I did that multiple times with different versions of the OS, that didnt work.....I called MTN, I asked for the service books...the lady said she kept trying to send it but it kept failing....so I tried  with etisalat, that didnt work....went online and checked all the carrier blackberry servers in my country to see if perhaps my phone mysteriously ended up there, it wasnt on any of them....so I called MTN again...immediately i mentioned their sim worked on my other blackberry phone...they had an 'AHA' moment and said it was my problem...then i came here...then i went back to MTN, now im back here..,,that's about it...
