Hi group. How do I check if my GPS is enabled or activate on Torch 9800? Will other people be able to track my location if GPS is on? How do I disable it? Please help. Thanks - Anna

Hi and welcome to the forums!
1. On the Home screen or in a folder, click the Options icon.
2. Click Device > Location Settings.
3. Change the Location Services field to Location On.
4. Press the key > Save.
To turn off GPS technology, change the Location Services field to Location Off.

no one else can unless you are on BES or use a service like google lattitude or have it enabled in some apps.
BlackBerry is designed to be very secure so this data will not be abused. You can always look in application permissions of your apps and choose to enable the features you want.
when using the camera it can get GPS info and put it into the jpg metadata so you can know where it was taken. This also can cause a delay in taking pictures sometimes so I keep it off.
BESAdmin's, please make a signature with your BES environment info.

I have tried all your suggestions but, my location when I refresh my location still comes back to La Quinta, CA. Can someone help me into changing it? Many thanks.
