How to recover & change device password

I can't access my phone because it is rejecting my device password. I am now at the final attempt and am getting the message that any more attempts will cause the info on my device to be wiped clean.

 

I tried recovering and changing the device password through Blackberry Protect with no success.

 

HELP!  Is there anyway to recover my password or to reset it?????

If it requests for the device password, I'm afraid there is no way for you/anyone to recover your password for you.

 

You either have to remember it before you utilize up your 10 attempts or unfortunately, you're going to lose all your device data. Sorry, I'm helpless at this point. :smileysad:

OMG!!!

 

IF, worst case scenario (I hope this doesn't happen) and I can't remember the password, and the device is wiped clean ... Will I at least be able to access the wiped device and add information from my last backup with Blackberry Protect?

Yes, If you've set-up BB protect on your device with a latest back-up your contacts, wifi data, ... etc. Simply enter the same credentials on the device after the wipe-out..

The security wipe will likely take an hour or more according your personal data on the device.

Once wiped, login the device back on the BlackBerryID, and do the same with Protect. You should be presented with options to restore data.
