I am new to smartphones and my Blackberry. I was given one at my new job. I charged it overnight and I now cannot get into see my emails. The red LED light goes on for a couple of seconds, there is a pause and then a very small hour glass on the screen and then the light around the track pad lights up.  None of the buttons are responsive.  Can anyone tell me what to do to get in? I have gone to the blackberry manuals, demos, but nothing goes into this. I am not very techno savvy either.  Thanks.

The 9850.

Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most glitches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.
