Hello GSF,

I have aquestion for one and all, I have a BB curve 8520 and today I have just ordered a Torch 9800. My question is, how do I go about transfering whats on my curve to my torch?

One way:

Another way (what I do):

1. Backup my apps using BBSAK: here is the link: http://bbsak.org/
   Using the BlackBerry Desktop Software, do a backup of my current device.
2. Connect the new device to the USB >> run Desktop Manager.
3. Do a 'selective' restore of certain data (Address Book, calendar, memos, SMS messages, email messages, etc.,) to the new device.
4. Install third party apps fresh from AppWorld or Mobihand.com where I purchased or downloaded.
5. Install any remaining apps from the BBSAK app backup if I must. The thought being a new device really should have the apps installed fresh again, ESPECIALLY if moving from one OS level to another (like OS5 to 6, etc).

It was my piccies and contacts and e-mails I was concerned about.

Anytime... post back here if you have further questions.

Remember, your pictures should be on the media card. That's a different process and don't always get transferred using the automated Switch Device Wizard. You will likely want to copy those to your PC (using the USB cable connected to your BlackBerry) and then copy them back to your new media card in the new device...

Or take out the media card from the old device and pop it into the new!
