Issues after updating OS 7.1

I have recently updated OS 7.1 on my torch 9860

I am having some issues like

1. I am not been able to connect my device to Blackberry protect it shows that it is connecting but it never connects.

2. When i connect my device with desktop software it shows in applications that the modules of some applications are not instaled. How can i install those modules. Can anyone help me please.

Re: Issues after updating OS 7.1

Hello baxxit and welcome to the BlackBerry® Support Community Forums.

Sorry to hear you are having an issue with your BlackBerry® Protect™ app on your BlackBerry® Torch™ 9860 smartphone.

Since you updated your software to 7.1 I'd suggest you delete Protect and reboot. Reinstall a new copy of Protect (from either BlackBerry App World™) or go to www.blackberry.com/protect on your device browser to install it.

As for when you connect your device to the BlackBerry® Desktop Software, download and install your device software from your mobile carrier's site (click here). Reboot your computer then check to ensure your device software now appears.

Let us know how you make out.

Re: Issues after updating OS 7.1

If you have tried the steps as posted above and are still experiencing an issue then it would be advised you contact your mobile network carrier to investigate this matter further.

Thanks!
