Hi there, this is my first post so bear with me.
I got my new blackberry about 2 weeks ago and ive been loving it dont get me wrong, but the past 2 days its been doing something in the background (i think) and now its gotten to the point where i cant even use it anymore...
i have not downloaded any apps or anything new on my blackberry ive just been using it to send SMS texts and recieve calls.
On the home screen, the tiny icon that appears when your blackberry is doing something appears for about 2 seconds. then it goes away. then about 5 seconds later it will come back. and it will repeat itself over and over and over again. when the icon is showing i cannot do anything with the blackberry it wont let me access anything. Not even to text
Now its gotten to the point where its doing it every second, and i cant even access my SMS app or even phone calls.
Please can someone help me! or at least point me in the direction of someone who can help me! im ready to distroy this thing and i really dont want to (since i just got it).
All other apps are working fine had no problems with anything untill now. I cant do anything

1. you can press the Menu key about two seconds and your application switcher bar will appear, showing what applications are running in the background.
There are commonly four or five applications that will always be running (Messages, Call Logs/Phone, BlackBerry Messenger, Homescreen, and the Browser;
What else do you see... open the browser, and make certain it is not on an active webpage, choose Menu > Close.
If you just hit the red "end call" key to go back to the home screen the application actually stays open and running in the background. If you do this repeatedly you will have lots of apps open and consequently your memory will get used up. Lack of memory is the biggest reason your BlackBerry slows to a crawl or locks up. If you get into the habit of actually using the menu key to close the applications this will at least slow down this memory-clogging process. You still may have to do a battery pull or use the "Quickpull" app once in a while when things get slow.
2. If you have Memory Cleaner running, disable it. Open your Options/Settings icon and choose security and find the Memory Cleaner and disable it, do not allow it run, it does NOTHING for your device.
3. Finally... just do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner:
With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescirbed for most gltiches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.
