Memopad is the only reason I'm still on BB because I don't know how to get my memos into an iphone. Torch is the worst phone I've ever had, just had to do a hard reset AGAIN because it turns off the network, sends multiple text messages, deletes records when at rst and messes with my memopad. Can anyone tell me how to get my memopad back on the desktop of the phone? It is NOT in the App folder. The only way I can access it is to SEARCH and it remains under search. There's no way to move it onto the desktop -- has anyone had this happen and is there a solution? The hard reset did not correct it. Thank you.

Welcome to the Support Community! Sorry to hear about the issues you've been having with your BlackBerry smartphone. Can you try to unhide the Memopad icon please by pressing the Menu key from your Home screen and choosing Show All. You may need to do this in all your folders also, in case the icon had been moved before being hidden.
Because of the other issues you mentioned in your post, I would also recommend first backing up all of your data using the BlackBerry Desktop Software and then doing a clean reload of your BlackBerry Device Software.
For further instructions, please see the following KB articles.
For Windows®: "How to perform a clean reload of the BlackBerry Device Software for Windows" http://bbry.lv/GI9beY
For Mac: "Perform a clean reload of BlackBerry smartphone application software using BlackBerry Desktop Software on a Mac computer" http://bbry.lv/J0UN1U
Once this process has completed, I would also suggest doing a custom restore of essential data only as shown in this KB article: "How to use BlackBerry Desktop Software to restore data to a BlackBerry smartphone from a backup file" http://bbry.lv/KHQdEb
Please let me know if this helps.

It did not help to "Show All Icons" ...it is still only visible from the search icon at the top.
I have already done a complete wipe of the BB and backed it up first. When I went to restore it, it told me "backup files were corrupt" ... I wonder why it wouldn't have told me this when I was backing them up. I feel like I am missing some notes, etc. I can retry what you suggest but there are so many things wrong with this phone and I have put up with it for 9 months. I can't even view a web page on the phone, they're all blank. Right now I just need to find a way to get my valuable information off this phone. I was a diehard fan of BB for many years but this phone has put me over the edge. I appreciate your reply.

Since your backup files were not usable, I would recommend trying to synchronize your Memopad and other data instead, if possible. This KB article should help you set this up. http://bbry.lv/TRr1Qo Once this is completed, I would suggest trying the clean software reload as this should resolve any software issues that may be causing the problems you are experiencing.
Let me know how it goes.

Okay, tried to follow the steps in the link you sent, however on first instruction. #4, it says disable wireless synchronization by clicking the check box. There is no check box and no option for that. Once again stuck.

You shouldn't see the wireless synchronization option available for Memopad. That would be an option for Calendar and Contacts if you were using an email account that supported wireless synchronization for those two organizers. For Memopad, you would just need to follow the instructions in Task 2 to configure synchronization in the BlackBerry Desktop Software and then go ahead and synchronize.
Let me know how you make out with this.

Are you referring to the wireless synchronization checkbox? If so, and there was no checkbox available for you to disable this feature, then this feature was not available for your contacts. I would suggest skipping to Task 2 in the article and trying to setup synchronization in the BlackBerry Desktop Software.

I have synched through the desktop software ... I got Synch error ... CRTranRec:GetLinkedRecordld; Invalid linked recordld
Then I did a backup and got this: "Some data is not backed up, some data is not included in this backup."
