MEP LOCK

I bought a new blackberry and i turned on my phone  and it says that there is a MEP code needed and then it says (0 trys)? how do i get my sim card to work?

Well, it definitely was NOT new.

 

You need to return the device and get a replacement. It is possible, but hard hard hard to get the device reset once the ten MEP unlock codes have been used up...

Again, my best advice, get your money back. It is not easy or cheap.

After the ten attempts have been used, you must get RIM to unlock the device.


There are two routes, and only two, to achieve this.

* IF your device is in warranty, contact your service provider technical support. Tell them you have this issue which needs to be escalated to RIM level customer support. I'll warn you that most carrier technical support people will first assume and think you are referring to a device security unlock, and you will need to convince them otherwise and explain clearly what you need. THEY will not be able to help you because the carriers themselves cannot unlock a device which has had the MEP code attempts depleted, and should (and you will need to ask) to have the case escalated to RIM level tech support.


* If your device is out of warranty, contact RIM direct. See the Contact Us information from the website: http://ca.blackberry.com/contact/ The options you want to select to speak to BlackBerry Customer Care are 3 (for inquiries, orders, billing, e-RMA etc) then 5 (e-RMA and Out of Warranty).

My phone keeps randomly saying mep locked -- one of the many disappointing issues I keep having with this q10 since purchasing it new from T-Mobile.

I should add that I have to restart the phone to solve it which I have to do frequently to solve a lot of the issues it gives me but that does not solve everything like the mixed up links it does to totally mess up my contacts among other things.

Is it unlocked by MEP code?

Are you currently using it on Tmobile?

Sir I bought Two Sets Blackberry Q10 but its Mep Locked MTN SOUTH AFRICA  PLZ GIVE ME SOME SUGGESTION
