Marriott App

Ok- I accept that I'm newbie to a crackberry- and am still working my way through the various forums and such.  That said- I need some help or insight with the following:

1. Under the apps area, on particular apps, it says ALL devices and ALL carriers.  ALL, in my silly little mind means something specific and logical.

2. I downloaded apps (marriott/Hertz in particular) for travel, since that's why I got this leash to start with...

3. No joy.  I email support and I get "Blackberry Torch does not support the current Marriott App. We at Usablenet only handle the technical aspects of the mobile sites and apps. For customer support please contact Blackberry directly."

4. Last I checked "Torch" was part of ALL in BB devices

5. Technical aspects of an app that doesn't work is not either technical or an app?!

WTF, over?!

Please use plain text.

Re: Marriott App

Apparently the developer has not included this OS 6 device in his build yet.

Maybe soon... and I guess "all" was correct as of three weeks ago?

Re: Marriott App

Ah HA! Temporal based conditions!  Or is it really an “OS version” or some other singularity issue?!

Thanks for the insight, JSanders

‘They’ could do a disclaimer on the first app splash page and say “ALL as if this set of devices and/or OS” rather that lead someone to assume all is really ALL.  Somehow I believe the marketing folks would have a heart attack over that.  Perish the thought!  Had the same issue with the Hertz app, which I assumed was a similar problem.

Re: Marriott App

Many app vendors have not updated their status as OS 6 compatable.

It will take a lil bit of time for all to do it.

Yea, and I know what it is, is not great. :smileywink:

Sorta somewhat maybe almost borderline misleading, but I think getting a thousand developers to update their app pages must be like herding cats.
