The button for the browser randomly dissappreared from my phone a few weeks ago.  I can still access the net by typing in generic words it allows me to search through google and then I can type in the web address I want to go however I cant access the browser any other way.

Anyway of re-installing the icon?

Sorry for the delay in responding.

If you connect your phone to your PC via USB and open Desktop Manager, all the core applications, including the browser, should be listed there.  It would then be a matter of checking the box beside Browser and clicking Apply at the bottom of the Desktop Manager.

Let us know if that solves your problem.

Check in your device whether the browser icon is hidden in your device or not.

To do so check the following steps -

1. Go to Menu area
2. click menu button
3. select show all
4. now look for browser icon. If the icon is there and dimmed then continue as mentioned below
5. highlight the browser icon
6. click Menu button and uncheck Hide

If the browser icon is not hidden then only option is to install it again.

Cheers mate, I found it dimmed when I selected all, then highlighted it and now its back.  Thank you, I appreciate it

I connected my phone to the computer and when the BB platform came up and I click applications, I saw the browser.  However, it is in grey and there is no plus sign or x beside it.  So I am unable to click it, hence i am unable to update same.   Help!

I even tried show all my hiden menus and that diid not work.
