My BB9810 icons aren't configured anymore to show what they need to show.

Hi there,

 

It seems that while my 9810 was unlocked in my pocket, some configurations were lost:

My SMS icon and my Desktop emails icon show my gmail account emails.

I receive sound signals that new SMS/ desktop emails are in my mailbox but I can't access them via the usual icons. The only access is via the screen's fixed banner on the top - between the Search and the Loud Speaker icons.

 

How can I renew the connection between the icon and what it should display?

Have you tried a Battery Pull Restart ? If not do it like this while your Device is Powered On remove the Battery and also the SIM card then wait for a min. . after that  reinsert them back . After Reboot see if your device back to normal.
