Re: My bb id doesn't work on my mobile

Yes its super annoying.  I have tried that twice already, and the sign in screen still comes up.  I even wentt in and changed my password tinking that may have been the issue, but still nothing, and I still get the Blackberry Protect icon at the top of the home screen and a message literally every 15 minutes.  If you have any more ideas on how to get rid of it please let me know, I amat a loss.

Thank you

Re: My bb id doesn't work on my mobile

Hello,

I have had exactly the same problem : entering my black berry ID and pass word allowes my to log in when I'm on internet on my computer but the same ID and same pass word (checkbox to display it) don't work on my phone.

I'm desesperated ! I have changed the password many times on the computer then tried it on the phone to see if the chosen pass word was making something wrong and I don't know what to do now.

I have to say I am not familiar with forums, so forgive me if I don't use the correct ways.

Thank you in advance !

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

Please see this "sticky" post for helpful information concerning your BBID situation:

Hopefully, this information will be of use to you.

In the meantime, can you reveal what exactly happens when you enter the credentials on the device? Normally, when they are rejected, there is some sort of message, and that message may well guide us to a much quicker answer for you...but, from merely "don't work", we can only guess (and, normally, that results in failure).

Cheers, and Good Luck!

Re: My bb id doesn't work on my mobile

Hello,

Thank you very much for your reply and sorry to answer so late just I just came back from holiday (luck me).

In fact, I haven't had to put my ID and pass word in again because the phone keeps turning of by itself and when it turns on again gives this message : Uncaught exception : ApplicationRegistry.waitFor (0x7289fbe8fdb52409) timeout. All the datas are arased (calendar+adress book)

I tryied to

-retrore the last back-up copy, and it block half way.

-reload my operating system but it gives the same message.

Do you thing anything can be done ?

Thank you very much,

Marion

Re: My bb id doesn't work on my mobile

Your situation is now more desperate than it was before...since you say that you already reloaded your OS, I will assume that you know all of the methods to do so, including forcing the use of an OS that is not automatically offered. In which case, the Bare Bones process may be what you now need:

  1. Load your OS "bare bones"...if anything is optional, do not install it.
  2. If the behavior presents immediately, then try a different OS with step 1
  3. If the behavior does not immediately present, then run for as long as it takes for you to be sure that the behavior will not present.
  4. Add one thing -- no matter how tempting, just one.
  5. If the behavior does not present immediately, then again run for long enough to be sure it will not have the same problem
  6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are loaded or the behavior presents

When the behavior presents, you know the culprit...the last thing you loaded.

If the behavior does not re-present, then you know that either step 1 or 2 cured it.

If the behavior presents no matter what, then you likely have a hardware level issue for which no amount of OS or software can cure.

Good luck and let us know!
