PLEASE HELP - AM I CONNED?

I used Blackberry Torch for over a year.

Last week my speaker went off, after 5 days my display went off, but i could see the phone display was working when seen in light.

I could not get it to service center as my warrenty had got over on October 5 and my phone got messed up on 10 October.

 

I went to a local mobile repairing shop.

He told me my slider has broken and so wanted to add a new slider. I agreed. The he called me and said the touch screen broke while he was removing it to put the slider. He said it is common that this breaks and I will have to pay for the touch screen, I Agreed.

 

Now he repairs the phone.....

Speaker is working, Display is working. 

 

Problems now faced.

1. The screen goes blank and dark when i press the dial key to make a call, Even on the Green Dialing Key, or even when pressing the touch screen to dial someones number. Why is this happening? He told me it has something to do with settings...

 

2. When i close the slider, the virtual keyboard does not come up. Why is this happening?

 

3. Also the view does not change to landscape view when i move the phone horizontal...

 

Have i been conned?

Also The Keyboard Lights are not working properly

Am going nuts...I feel fooled...

I would expect him to take it back in and repair it properly - by the sounds of it he has not done the job properly. 

 

You have paid for the phone to be repaired and it is not.

Most times it better to take the phone to your service provider.  If they can't repair it, than they should be able to point you in the right direction.  A phone repair shop with a good reputation.

I hope things workout for you and your phone is working properly again.

When I dial a number on my torch 9800 the screen goes blank. A battery pull does not work.
