PLEASE HELP

I am hoping someone can help me.  I got a message and it ask me to upgrade to 7.1 I thik it was and so I did it.  it said that it would take a couple hours.  So I hit ok and it started...It did a back up...to where I do not know and then started the download...then it said install >..I hit the install and my that was 3-4 hours ago and it is just blinking the red light as though I have a message...I really need my phone it has everthing I am to do for days and days...please someone help me...PLEASE :HELP...

What are the chances you had BlackBerry Protect installed and enabled on your phone?

The first thing to try at this point is to make sure the battery is still charged (plug it into the wall charger), then do a simple battery pull if you're still not getting anything more than a black screen and red blinking light. Remove your battery for 15-30 seconds, then reinsert and wait for the phone to reboot. What happens?

Ok, in that case, the next thing to try is to plug your BlackBerry into your computer and open the BlackBerry Desktop Software. Hopefully that will trigger the completion of the OS update.

If that doesn't work, the only option may be to reload the device software. In this case, your data may be lost unless you had a recent backup or were using the BlackBerry Protect software. To reload the device software, use the method in the link below:

Once your device is back up and running, if you had BlackBerry Protect installed and enabled, you should be able to restore the data in the backup there.
