Re: Problem with starting

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

I recommend that you attempt to boot into Safe Mode:

  • KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe Mode

It may take you multiple attempts to get the ESC key sequence (press/release/hold) correct, so be patient. When successfully into Safe Mode, see what happens.

If the behavior ceases, then think carefully...what happened just before this behavior started? A new app? An update? A Theme? Something else? Think carefully as the smallest change could be causal...and attempt to undo whatever that was.

But if the behavior continues in Safe Mode, then you may need to consider more drastic actions -- WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload, and the "Bare Bones" OS Reload Process. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup to your PC...please review the Backup link in my auto-sig on this post for instructions.

Re: Problem with starting

Unfortunately, based on the short replies you've given, I cannot tell what from the above you have actually attempted, nor how it worked out for you. So, please try again, with a bit more detail. Please try to remember that we can't see you, we can't see your device, we can't know anything other than what you tell us. When you use so few words, you leave us to make many guesses...and that's not safe. Details from you will enhance our understanding, which will perhaps make it possible to give you useful guidance.

Thanks.

Re: Problem with starting

Whenever i do a battery pull and the phone turns on a small hour glass comes up the screen then goes black and the phone begins to load... after a while about in the middle of loading the phone freezes and doesn't move any further and it is a continuous trrend evey time i do a battery pull.

i've tried going into safe mode and updating but it doesn't work.

Still can't understand. It doesn't go into Safe Mode at all? Or it does but the behavior continues? Something else? Both of those outcomes are, btw, covered in the above recommendations... but I can't tell from that if you tried any of that or not...
