Red LED not working

My red LED message light is not working at all. How doi turn it on? Please be specific about where the icon or other path can be found, thanks.....( sure wish I did not let the ATT store talk me into this unit!)

The red LED may blink for several reasons... the main one being messages notification.

 


To edit a notification profile on a BlackBerry smartphone that uses BlackBerry® Device Software 6.0, complete the following steps:

  1. On the Home screen of the BlackBerry smartphone, click Profiles.
  2. In the notification profile list, click Change Sounds and Alerts.
  3. Click Sounds for Selected Profile.
  4. Click the application to be changed. Example: Messages, Calendar, or Level 1 messages.
  5. Make the changes.
  6. Open the Menu and click Save.

In Step 4 above, click on your messages and a corresponding email account you will see the function for Visual Alerts, set that to ON for the red LED to blink when you get a message.

thank you vry much...after weeks and weeks of searching and calling blsckberry and having them hand me back to roogers and they said that they would send my unit away for repair... i posted my request on here and now it is fixed...  thanks
