Option, Device, Application Management is a great way to see what your apps are doing with your CPU usage on #Torch. Just slide top bar to CPU and see what is going on.
I found out that Social Scope was eating away CPU cycles on mine. It is a beta product and I was testing it, its not ready for OS 6 yet.
Good luck and let us know.

From day one that I got my Torch it was automatically loading the camera and taking snap shots. After the first day that stopped. A week or two later the phone started loading the camera and taking pics again.
I tried to fix this issue on my own.
First, I wiped the device.
Second I reloaded Blackberry 6 from the Desktop Manager I downloaded from Rim's own website.
Well, that seemed to fix the camera problem, but however raised new issues.
After reinstalling the OS, the phone would work for about 60 seconds and then the track pad, keypad, escape key, menu key, and both red & green phone keyes would lock up.
The phone would function via touch screen, but without the other buttons functioning I was at a loss.
I gave up and sent the phone back to Let'sTalk.com. I hope they don't BS me on giving me a new phone since I am within my 30 day warranty.
I suspect it got slammed around in the shipping process. UPS didn't even knock on my door as I was at home waiting on the phone to arrive. Instead, I almost tripped on the box and landed on my face while leaving to run an errand because the delivery guy simply left the package on my front porch with the "Welcome" mat covering it.
Either A) the phone was defective from the start, or B) it got kicked around too much by the shipping company.
When the phone functioned properly I loved it. Truly the best Blackberry that RIM has ever made. But now for no reason whatsoever my wife's Torch is starting to lock up as well.
I don't want my money back. I don't want any other phone on the planet. I just want a pair of Torches that work as RIM intended them to.

I am having issues with my Torch, specifically in BB app world. When I go in to download, it requires me to login, which after doing so, puts me to a gray screen for the sample terms and agreement, which I accept...this shoots me into the account information page, and there is no way to advance past this. I have tried the back button which puts me back out to the main app world page to look for apps. Sometimes too it puts me back to login again! Currently it has froze saying it's Authenticating... There is no predicability as to what it's going to do other than I can't download or upgrade any of my apps from my old BB. When I start up app world after numerous battery pulls, it does prompt me that my app world has an upgrade available as well. I just don't know what to do!
Is anyone else having a similar problem? Any insight from anyone would be greatly appreciated!
PS...I'm also having a problem in foursquare, in trying to check in, it searchs/loads for a while and then tells me that 'we are having trouble locating you' so here is a list of places based on your most recent location. I can search for places fine, but the phone won't find my current location to find the places nearby. I'm thinking it has something to do with my GPS settings, but I can't find where it isn't ON and running...and because of the previous problem with app world I can't redownload it to find out if it's the app or not! haha.

Ok the App World is fixed, I had to go through and put in my Paypal info, and magically it is working now...
I redownloaded Foursquare, but am still having the same problem there...any insight from anyone on that?

i am having a simliar problem - I got the nw torch 9800 and loved it the ifrst week. then i got an email asking me to upgrade app world. since upgrading the software pressing on the calendar icon freezes up the phone. i have done countless hard reboots for days. went to att who basically told me i had to fix it myself. i am at a loss and desperate as i live by my calendar for work. i have gone into the advanced settings and made sure the proper email address was the default, which was changed after completing the upgrade in software, but still no luck. whether i touch the calendar icon or scroll with the pad and click the pad it freezes. can anyone help me? i love the phone but NEED my calendar. thanks.

I have the same issue. I downloaded the update for App World, now I freeze up whenevr I go to App World, and then try to leave. I keep getting a message to download the update, but the download link is gone, since I have already done it.
I get the following error message (sometimes):
"Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_appworld (387) is not responding: process terminated"
I say sometimes, since other times it just freezes, and I have to power down the unit.
Is there an error in the update, or my Torch? Up to now I love my Torch...

you can do a reset of appworld
hold down alt key and type RST
your device will be slow at this point, just wait about 5 minutes for it to reset and try again.
