When I turn my phone horizontal to text, the screen does not change until I bang the phone on the desk ...is this normal as I have had 3 of these phones so far and they all seem to do it.  "9860 Torch"

banging it should not be done, once in a while I have to flip mine back to portrait and goto landscape again

I should have said "tap" instead of "bang"...either way it still takes a fair "Tap" to get it to change.  I have tried going back to portrait but it still doesnt want to switch unless it is tapped on something even just tapping it on my hand will work sometimes.

What I need to know is if this is a software problem or hardware.  Rogers just keeps sending me new phones but they all do the same thing.

Once it is in landscape mode there is never a problem going back to portrait....just portrait to landscape.

I have the same problem. Once I open the hard keyboard, I am forever in portrait, even after I slide the keyboard closed.
