Set up GPS and location services

I need to get latitude and longitude using gps on blackberry.

When i check in simulator, i got the default latitude 43 and longitude 80.

When i check on device, i got latitude 0.0 and longitude 0.0.

I check on device, option-> Device ->Location setting.

Gps data source is Device GPS and location services turns to location on.

But till, latitude and longitude values are 0.0.

Is there any settings to enable the gps? Pls help..

Re: Set up GPS and location services

Why are you posting in the Community Feedback and Ideas section of the forum?

On all model BlackBerrys, first make certain that you in an area of good signal coverage AND outside with a clear view of the sky in an open area of no tall buildings.

For GSM network devices, do this:
Click Options > Advanced > GPS > Menu > Refresh GPS.
Give it up to 10 minutes to refresh, and try 2-3 times in a row.
For the 9800 model:
1. On the Home screen or in a folder, click the Options icon.
2. Click Device > Location Settings.
3. Press the Menu key > Refresh GPS.

Re: Set up GPS and location services

No no, don't post questions in the Community Welcomes page.

Find the section of the forum that applies to your question.

Read the Floated posts at the top of this Feedback and the Welcome section which both ask you not to post device and software questions in those sections.
