Solid Blue LED Indicator

My Torch is displaying a solid blue LED indicator. My keyboard is not illuminating but I'm sure that's due to the light sensor being close to the LED. I've seen various items listed for this light; I do not have Bluetooth enabled; I do not have access to a music server. Between this and the freeze-ups after I unlock the device, I'm not happy here.

Re: Solid Blue LED Indicator

This LED stays lit after turning off the phone, hard restarts or battery pulls. Just an FYI.

Re: Solid Blue LED Indicator

if it stays on when turned off, then you might have a hardware issue.

Can you backup your device and try a security wipe?

Re: Solid Blue LED Indicator

a very frustrating problem.

i dont  claim to have a solution but i'll tell you what happened to mine!

first of all before the solid blue light came on i'd accidentally splashed the handset with water

(nothing major, thought nothing of it, wiped it off and carried on.)

the next time i looked at the handset the solid blue had appeared. gah.

i spent several hours looking at web search results, tried all that hard reset and bluetooth on/off garb.

no joy. got mad! dont have any trusted permissions for apps ive downloaded, dont have a music thing or any other bluetooth accesories either.

so i was practically tearing my hair out and going up the wall with rage. decided to whinge about it on my friends

facebook wall (via facebook for blackberry.)

having vented my spleen sufficiently i closed facebook (not logout, just red buttoned it)

lo and behold - the blue light went off.  success.

no idea why it came on, no idea why it went off. just glad its gone now!

i dont know if this will work for others but it would be interesting to know if anyone else had got their handset wet?

wondering if it may literally be a case of waiting for it to dry out..

its an ongoing mystery!

good luck to all who suffer at the mercy of this blue demon..

Re: Solid Blue LED Indicator

So I am going through this now! I sat my phone on a wet counter today, and every since then the blue light has been there. I even did the whole "turn off bluetooth, turn it off, take the battery out, wait several minutes, turn back on, then bluetooth on" and NOTHING im so glad your post was here! im waiting for it to go off...how long was it blue for?

Re: Solid Blue LED Indicator

Try drying the device out completely.  One simple method is to get a jar or glass of dry rice and place phone in it.  The rice will absorb extra moisture that a cloth won't.
