Hi there...
My device is sending out spam e-mail to all adresses in my inbox. I am using an "@live.co.za" account.
I'm not sure if it's the blackberry server or my BBM account or even the @live server.
Anyone else having this problem?
Please advise.
Regards,
Ladytorch123

I think it's the black berry server as the device works through the server to retrieve all my IM's e-mails etc.
The mail sent out is from my e-mail account nl "@live.co.za" it then contains a link and this link goes to some website to work form home or sells stuff or I won the lotto.
It is really annoying and I want to stop it.
Do you know how I can stop it?

There is no virus reported (till date) for BlackBerry device. Hence, the chances of sending emails from your BlackBerry is close to zero. May be these are being sent from other sources.

the quickest way to stop it would be to change the password on your live account - just remember to update the password in the email settings on your phone.

You haven't been hacked. Using common live, gmail, yahoo or aol account names is a trick by spammers.
A password change on your live account may help, but it could persist as spammer may just be spoofing your account name as the sender.
