Hi, I have also got a problem after upgrading the OS6 for my torch... I installed the updates but suddenly the device couldn't start after rebooting....I removed the battery and put it back, the only thing the device does is it displays a very weak red light as if it was turning on but goes off immediately.....I have read about the solution proposed on this topic and I thought it could help,,I went on downloading BBSAK but when I run this..I am asked to provide a password, since I have none..I click OK but a "No Device Detected" Message appears. Does this mean that I need a paasword? If yes, when should get it from? I further went on and provided the PIN # of my device but got the same message
Has anyone had this solved in the past?

I am referring to the PC. Once I rebooted it after downloading the new OS (and the BBSAK), I was able to make connectivity. The only difference is that I have a password on my BB. This shouldn't make a difference. I hope this helps.

Connect your device to your PC and launch BBSAK. It will ask you for a password. If you don't have one set for your device, just click OK.
Choose the option to Wipe OS. When completed, you will be left with a white screen and an app error 507, which means the wipe was successfull.
Disconnect your device.
On your PC, navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research in Motion\AppLoader. Delete the file at the bottom called vendor.xml.
Connect your device.
In that same folder as above, there's an executable file called Loader (has a little phone next to it). Double click on that and it will start loading your OS.
I FOLLOWED ALL THE STEPS & IT WORKS BUT I HAD PROBLEM IN LAST STEP
THE Loader.exe DOSN'T HAVE THE SOFTWARE WHICH IS DOWNLOADED IN THE SAME FOLDER.

- I CHOOSE THE PORT WHICH IS HAVING MY PIN.
- THE THE SECURITY PASSCODE OF MY DEVICE.
- READ DEVICE SERVICE INFORMATION.
- THE THE LAST SCREEN SAYS:
THE BLACKBERRY DESKTOP SOFTWARE DOESN'T HAVE BLACBERRY DEVICE SOFTWARE FOR THE DEVICE THAT YOU HAVE CONNECTED TO THE COMPUTRE. CONTACT YOUR WIRELESS SERVICW PROVIDER OR SYSTEM ADMINISTATOR.
