Torch 9800 stopped allowing Kindle downloads

I have been using the Kindle app successfully for over a year.  The last 2 weeks, when I attempt to purchase and download a book, I get the following message:

 

!FileStreamWriteError:

 StartOfStream

 

Kindle Support has not been able to help.  My provider is AT&T.

 

Any solutions?

Did you try to change the app's security settings? Or reinstall the app? That did work for me with another apps...

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app a number of times.  There are no Kindle Security settings.
