I was synching with desktop, phone froze. Wont turn on. Took battery out, no change. Lights is flashing. How do I reset? No external keyboard. Please, please help

looks like your device is bricked... Do you really synching only?

try to use USB port from behind the PC, not from your front docking port, but dont plug into your device yet

take your battery out

now go to Apploader folder on C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader (Windows 64 bit) or
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader (Windows x86)
run Loader.exe from there

now Plug in your USB cord to the device, when the loader windows tells you "PIN UNKNOWN" simply put your battery in, and then click Next

your device should be rebooting now...

Thanks...I will try tomorrow morning when mind is fresh. And yes, I was synching only. It was updating my applications then it said "deleting applications" so I panicked and disconnected phone from process, so my troubles began. I will let all know results soon. Thanks again

Tried your process...says ...desktop software cannot communicate with connected device...may have dead battery bla bla bla. Also LED light stopped flashing. Will try once more. Any more suggestions?

I tried your technique again...IT WORKED! Thanks so much. I think I made it unusable by disconnecting prematurely.

Woke up this morning and Torch 9850 won't turn on.  It was charging all night. I've following the directions running Loader.exe - but it says it can't find a connection

it wont power on at all? or it wont booted? FYI, dont charge your device all night, it could destroy your battery, it only needs 2 hours for blackberry to fully recharge its battery...

my merry xmas gift is  the same problem.. tried apploader fix.. but after it loads the software and tries to initialize the device it comes back with a "loader unable to connect to device" error. My battery is fine checked it..has 3.4v

No other way to hard reset this thing??
