For about the last week I've been getting a message on my BB to say the built in media needs repairing. Phone is unable to do this but I thought I'd sorted this via my laptop .
Now this morning the phone has totally frozen! It will only reboot 3/4 of the way through the bar before deciding to go no further.
Im totally stuck now and need some help please.

ok...in my very untechnical way I will try to reply!
Yes....I have updated to the new bbm7 which was posibly the last thing I updated. The phone was on 7.1 as I've just checked my desktop version.
Progress bar seems to be stuck under the second "R" or "Y" of the logo.
Thanks for helping

Are you able to restart your device in safe mode as shown in KB17877?
I assume, since it's caught in a reboot cycle, when you connect to the Desktop Software it doesn't take a stable connection to reinstall your software?
If that is case, remove your battery and keep it out when you connect to the Desktop Software. You will get a pop up that the device can't connect and there should be Retry, Update and Cancel buttons. Select Update and you will then be able to reinstall the current device software version.
When the load is progressing, you will see a step that says "Wait for device initialization". At this point, insert the battery and the reload should complete.

Got stuck in a rebooting loop......eventually the phone came back to life, and back to the screen that says built-in media needs to be repaired which i agreed to.
Now I have a small black screen over the set up screen that says "Repairing Builet-in Media Please wait......"
