I need some help. I have a 9800 Torch. I've seen a few posts about the trackpad not working. I have use of everything on my phone except for the trackpad. The keyboard works fine, the touchscreen works fine, but the trackpad doesn't work at all. No up and down. No side to side. If I press it...it does nothing.
I've had this problem before, and it usually corrected itself after a couple of battery pulls, but I've done that about a dozen times...and still nothing. I've done the hard battery pull, the control, alt, delete restart...and still the trackpad doesn't respond...
What can be done to fix this issue?

Hello bryanjkizer,
I have a BB Bold 9800 too and I have the same problem as you decribed: trackpad dos not function (anymore).
I tried all the things that you already mentioned and used the KB29640 as the Administrator proposed but no succes.
Did you have a solution for your problem? If yes maybe I can try it also.

txs for your input, nevertheless I already tried these solutions but none of them helped me...
During the start of the problem, the trackpad worked again for some days (in the end some hours and finally no more) after a warm power shut down (take battery out during functioning of gsm).
Actually this solution does not work anymore.
Pushing continuously the trackpad during cold start up (after battery move) gives also no solution.
Maybe you know another tric?

In the end my phone was replaced by BB.
