I have a blackberry torch and just recently i have been unable to send pictures via email.  I can send normal emails with just text etc but photos are coming up with the red X and the message is 'general failure'.  I've been through all my setttings etc and can't figure out why this has happened as it was working fine.

I have also checked encryption is off, tried resizing pictures and rebooting too many times to count!!

Please, does anybody have any suggestions as to what is wrong or what i need to do?

Hello sgrimes07,

Are you composing the email in your mesasges folder and using the Menu>Attach>Picture method or are you in your media folder viewing the photo and using the Menu>Send>Email option? 

Do you have more than one email account other than your Hotmail? If so, are you able to send the photo using this other email account without error?

I'm having this exact same problem with emailing photos to my hotmail, just tried another account and it works.

Any idea why? any help gratefully received.

I have the same issue and have not been able to get any information. I'm using my corporate email account. Any further suggestions on this one?
