Unable to open email set up application. Contact wireless service provider.

Dear all,

On my 9860 . . . Email Account Management cannot be invoked for unknown reasons. An error message "Unable to open email set up application. Contact wireless service provider." pops up in the display of my 9860 whenever I try to invoke Email Account Management.

My OS is 7.1 Bundle 2283 (v7.1.0.825, Platform 5.1.0.593) with Email Setup application (Version 72.12.0620.1450) properly installed.

KB26055-Unable to access the Email Setup Application on a BlackBerry smartphone after a forced updat...

While www.blackberry.com/integrate (wap version / browser version) does work, such Email Setup (wap version / browser version) does not allow me to complete security activation in order to start calendar and contact synchronization with Gmail.

I would appreciate it very much if you kindly suggest ways to work around this problem.

Thank you very much in advance. Sincerely,

P.S.

I have already re-registered 9860, re-sent service books to 9860, cold-booted (battery-pulled) 9860 numerous times, and properly (via PC . . . not OTA) re-installed OS 7.1.

Please use plain text.

Try using your browser to go to www.blackberry.com/integrate

Therein you should find your email setup functions.

Thank you very much for your prompt reply.

As I previously wrote, www.blackberry.com/integrate does not allow me to complete security activation in order to start calendar and contact synchronization with Gmail.  I would like to find a way to complete such security activation.

Sincerely,

 Gmail
If you have not already done so, to start calendar and contact synchronization, complete the security activation on your BlackBerry® device:
1. On the Home screen, click the Setup icon and click Email Accounts or Email Settings.
2. After you open the application, the security activation starts. When security activation is complete, calendar and contact synchronization automatically begins.
Please use plain text.

Ahh, ok sorry.

Who is your wireless provider, with your BIS data plan?

On your Manage Connections screen, click on the Services Status.
What is the status of the BlackBerry Internet Service?
