Unable to type on the screen keyboard

I am unable to type anything on the touch screen keyboard. The keyboard pops up when required but unable to type anything. I even tried removing the battery with the power still on and inserting it back but this did not help. Please let me know what I can do.

Welcome to the forums. 

 

In this case we can try to reload the software on the BlackBerry® smartphone to make sure it is running the latest version and there are no issues with the OS.

Once you have backed up your BlackBerry smartphone please follow the link below to complete a clean reload of the BlackBerry smartphone software.
