Unidentified Subscriber

Wonder if someone can help me.  Ive been trying to text a friend all day today and every time I do I get the error message 'Unidentified Subscriber' on the text.    Someone else has been trying too and their text wont send at all either.

 

Any ideas what might cause this.  The helpful people at Orange said hes blocked me, but I dont see how they know that besides I  havent been able to find a way to block SMS on a Blackberry.

 

Any ideas what this means or what the problem could be??

Turns out my friend had to very unexpectedly replace their handset, old number got cancelled and they hadnt managed to back up their contacts and let everyone know by the time I was trying to text them  Smiley Happy

pull the bat for 12 secs...put back reboot...try this...

Possibility here:
There might not be no message centre number in the SMS options.  May have to replace.

So first check the setting in options > SMS, here the servicenumber should be visible...

Pull the battery and reboot...then check your settings...options in sms settings....or just try to text some one...see what happens. let us know.
