User ID/password trouble when setting up email with Torch

Just picked up a new Blackberry torch yesterday and am having trouble setting up my email.   I use my work email on there and had no problem doing so on my old  Bold model.  When I go to set up and choose to set up personal email it asks for my User ID and password.  Am I supposed to enter my work email user ID and password there?  If not what am I supposed to enter there - user/id password for what?  I've tried all sorts of combinations on what it could be but nothing.  I tried clicking, "I forgot my password" but then it asks to enter my user name, I enter what I think it might be then the next screen says my password has been sent to my blackberry device.  However I can't find where it was sent to? (I've checked text messages and blackberry messenger messages and nothing is there).  What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for your reponse.  Unfotunately that tutorial didn't apply at all.  It said to click/touch the email icon then click add.  When I click the email icon it tries to connect to my server then says it cannot connect to my server.

Do you have a BES (BlackBerry Enterprise Service) work-issued email account?
