Water Damage

[ Edited ]

My Torch 9810 fell in the pool about 2 weeks ago, it have been dried and i took it in to my service provider's repair shop. They said it does not want to switch on but when i put in my battery the red LED light comes on and then it blinks 4 times. Isn't there another way how the phone can come on or something, please

Re: Water Damage

If it wasn't dried out properly, it may be fried.

If you connect to your PC, and run the BlackBerry Desktop Software, does it show it as connected or give you a choice to update, repair, etc.?

Re: Water Damage

No, I did not plug it in yet, I will do it when I'm on my PC again, but it is as if the phone struggles to go on, because it gets power to turn the LED on but the screen does not want to come on. Thanks for reply :smileyhappy:

Re: Water Damage

I'm afraid you could have permanent corrosion in the connections to the screen.
