Wifi question on the Blackberry Torch

Hey new to the forum and new to blackberry, I got my phone today and set everything up, I'm on a contract where I get 500MB UK data for blackberry. What does this exactly mean?

Also I set my phone up to my wireless network, I'm just wondering does the phone use the wireless network by default when I am connected to it? I around a wireless network through out the day and there is no point eating into my 500MB.

I think thats it for now Thanks in advance.

Re: Wifi question on the Blackberry Torch

Yes, when you are connected to WiFi, the device will use the WiFi for its data and won't eat into your 500MB

Re: Wifi question on the Blackberry Torch

500MB is really enough for even a really heavy user who does day to day browsing and social network stuff e.g. facebook etc...the only way you will go over this limit is if you are constantly streaming videos, youtube etc...

Also if you go abroad you get charged overseas datatariff at a higher rate. So if you plan to go abroad please call your network provider for further details. So you don't end up with a large mobile phone bill once you are back!

Re: Wifi question on the Blackberry Torch

Just to expand on Hiren's comment, I also have a 500MB allotment and I think the most I've ever used in a month is 29MB.
