contacts and app problems

I have problems when calling people from my contacts. I get a recorded msg saying that the number has been disconnected. But when I manually enter the number - the calls go through. How do I fix this?

Also I have the weather channel app installed and the icon keeps disappearing. I still get my am and pm weather updates. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app numerous times but it doesn't permanently solve the problem!

Hello hayles79 and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

 

Sorry to hear you're having an issue with calling from your Contacts.

 

Does this error happen with all contacts you attempt to dial or specific ones? 

 

If you were to edit your Contacts and update the phone number, do you still get this error when dialing them? Do you have the area code saved in the contacts? 

 

As for the application icon, if you use Universal Search, does the icon show up in the results? If so, is it grayed out?
