help me with my blackberry torch 9800

can you help me what is wrong with my blackberry torch and what i can do to fix it my scroller and touch screen will not work when it is slid up please help as i love this phone and i cant afford to buy another yet ??

I'm not sure if I've parsed your single long sentence there and understood you correctly. Neither the scroller nor the touch screen work? And both or just one when the screen is slid up? I can't quite understand your situation from the way you have chosen to (not) use punctuation in your post.

 

But, anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness shows up, the first thing to try is a proper reboot:

  • With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.

See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

Hi,
you dont need to buy another phone, your 9800 is still fixable.
just get your local repairer to replaced the flex cable,

9800 & 9810 uses a flex cable, sometimes the cable got damaged or worn out.

I've done this so many times, its 30 minutes job.
