internal storage has gone

My husband's phone is Torch9810, after connecting it to their computer in the office, the whole internal storage is gone or maybe corrupted. He cannot used it anymore except in calling and texting only. What should we do?

Please describe, with a bit more detail, exactly what happened and exactly what the situation now is. From those words, I can deduce several different possible things...each with different remedy paths. But, many of those remedy paths would be unnecessarily destructive if they are not the correct path. So properly understanding your situation is quite critical to choosing the correct remedy path.

For example...you say "internal storage has gone"...what, exactly, does that mean please? Detailed description, please.
