is this a virus or true

Hello, starting from the 20th of February 2012, blackberry messenger will be shut down for 2 hours, people who broadcast this message will get their blackberry messenger back but if you don't to get it back you will have to pay 10p for each message sent £25 per month, also you will have to restart your whole phone to download it again and you will have to get a new blackberry app world account.

Broadcast this message and your phone will just be slow for 1-2 hours, thank you for reading this,
Yours sincerely
The BlackBerry Team.

This was sent to me on bbm 5 minutes ago I haven't passed it on is this a real message or a virus

That's some run-on sentence! You should reply to it and attach your address book so they can send it for you.

More than likely, it's just someone who has too much time on their hands having some fun.  Seeing as there is no known virus for BlackBerry phones to date, you should just delete this message and move on with your life.

I hope that clears things up for you.  :smileyhappy:
