Re: java.lang null encounter

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

Your somewhat hard to read post is in the BB Tablet (PlayBook) section of the forums...but I think (can't be sure...too hard to decipher) you may not be having a problem with a PlayBook and instead having a problem with either a 9800 or a 9700. Please clarify and we'll have the post moved to the correct location.

Thanks!

Re: java.lang null encounter

OK, then, thanks. So...two things...

1) This thread will soon be moved to the 9800 forum

2) Please reply in this thread, but re-post your original, using some appropriate punctuation, sentence structure, and other things that perhaps might make it more able to be interpreted by us "old dogs" that tend to rely on such things.

Thanks!

Re: java.lang null encounter

hello Lizzy,

do I understand correctly?
- your carrier is XL
- you have white BlackBerry Torch 9800
- you have an issue opening the SMS application : "unexpected java.lang null encounter"
- you have an issue with BBm : you cannot open it.
- you have 3000 contacts in your BlackBerry address book
