Re: locked phone

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

Password, which one please? There are several possibilities, each with different resolution paths.

If it's your device lock password, then there is no way to overcome the situation...only the password you created can unlock your BB and prevent a device wipe.

If it's your BBID, then there might be a way to recover your account access.

But, since we can't really tell which password you have issue with, it's rather impossible to provide you with proper advice. Please clarify exactly which password you are having trouble with.

Thanks and let us know!

Re: locked phone

Hey chloemelick,

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

Thanks for the question.

My apologies but the device lock password is user generated and can only be changed if you place the password incorrectly 10 times or by placing it correctly.

Please note when placing the password incorrectly 10 times, it will erase all the data off the BlackBerry smartphone.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Cheers.
