Re: my blackberry suck 3/4

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

I recommend that you attempt to boot into Safe Mode:

  • KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe Mode

It may take you multiple attempts to get the ESC key sequence (press/release/hold) correct, so be patient. When successfully into Safe Mode, think carefully...what happened just before this behavior started? A new app? An update? A Theme? Something else? Think carefully as the smallest change could be causal...and attempt to undo whatever that was.

Good luck and let us know!

Hmmm..."didn't work"...hmmm...I cannot tell, can you clarify please?

Did it successfully get into Safe Mode, but the behavior continued?

Or did it not even get into Safe Mode? If that is the case, how many times did you try? It can be tricky, so multiple attempts, varying from what the instructions state, may be necessary.

OK...so I guess that you mean it could not get into Safe Mode at all.

It could...if you suspect that, then this test can help determine if it's the case:

  1. Obtain a known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
  2. Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens

The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem. Note carefully please that "known good" and "new" are not the same thing...while rare, a new battery can be defective. Rather, the best (and least costly, btw) method to do this is to find someone with an identical BB that has no problems...trade batteries and see what happens.

Otherwise, you may need to try these more drastic attempts:

Then again, if the problem is hardware, then no amount of anything we can advise you to try yourself will be of use...only evaluation by a qualified technician with the device in their hands can give you a proper diagnosis and estimate (if the cause is hardware).

Good luck and let us know!
