phone suddenly died!

My Blackberry Curve stopped working tonight.  The buttons have become non-responsive and it's showing a blank screen with occasionally some patterns on it in purple and white.  Nothing has happened to said phone (no water immersion or anything).  It still vibrates and the message light flashes but I can't get it to do anything.  any suggestions?

Re: phone suddenly died!

It doesn't need water immersion to be wet... or moist.

Any chance it got slightly wet or has been in a high humidity environment?

Re: phone suddenly died!

It has not been wet at all, and we're not humid these days.  Seems to get calls, but screen remains blank with streaks of violet.  Screen changes slightly with some button pushes but is not regular screen.

Re: phone suddenly died!

And you've rebooted the device via powered on battery pull reboot?

If so, and it remains the same, and you are POSITIVE it's not moisture (even left on a bathroom counter during a hot shower or steamy bath), then you have other internal hardware problems.

Go see your service provider for warranty repairs.
