I´m new at the BlackBerry world - i come from the android-world... so everything is new for me
I get from my company a Torch 9860 and at first i installed the DesktopManager on my PC (Win7 64bit). At the first connection between BB <->PC i get the information, that a newer BB-Version is avialable. So i made the update to V7.1. Until this point everything works fine. Mails come in and so on...
But If i open AppWorld i get the information, that there is a newer Version avialable. So i get a link und the download starts. At the half the download stop and i get the message "attribut MIDIet-Name fail".
Then i restart my phone und try it again, but it still doesn´t work.
Then i uninstall the "old" appworld-app, restart the phone und tryed again the download --> but it´s the same
Then i get an idea: i download the installation-file to the pc und copy it to the BB. But i can´t find something to download it on the pc.
So now i have a phone without appworld.
Can anybody help me? I want to install a view apps..
Thank you for our help!
PS: sorry for my "not so good" english

Welcome to BlackBerry Support Community Forums and welcome to BlackBerry World!
Now first thing to do, uninstall BlackBerry World and perform hard reset by pulling your battery while your BlackBerry is ON and reinsert again.
Once done, perform reset your BlackBerry to factory defaults, see this article.
Don't forget to backup your data, see this article.
Thanks and good luck!

All your data will restore, Uninstall BlackBerry World first and perform hard reset. Now perform backing up your data.
Good luck again.

Thanks for the very quick help :-)
one question: my company (the IT-office) give me the phone with the arranged email account. If i make the backup, are there also the email-proberties?
And if i reset the phone, can i restore the backupfile to the phone or will i restore also the "bug"?
Please WAIT !
If you have a Company phone and if you are connected to a corporate enterprise BES account then yopu cannot perform those steps as suggested above ( Factory Default Setting ) .
It will remove everything like your company's IT policies from within that device , you may be questioned by your BES admin. or IT guys .
If you have a company device then everything within your device is controlled by your BES admin. Including restoring services , Backups etc. You should first contact your IT guys to know if they have any restriction using BlackBerry App World or any of such .

Thank you for your answer prince.
i´ve made all the steps above include factory reset. i got no failure-message about this. My phone work until now without problems. - only the problem with appworld.
However, i call our IT guys and then i will see...
Thank you for the quick help! :-)

I hope everything is in order , On a Company device our IT guys who are responsible and who if needed should perform those steps ( Factory Default ) . I'm not sure about your Company restrictions .
As you hold a Company device it will be better if you consult with your BES Admin. they will help you .

Thanks prince2012 for that information. I didn't know that. I don't know about BES. I will noted that one.
But if you have done backing up your data files will include the IT policies right?
