hi.. i am using torch 9800..recently a problem occured in my phone..first of all its working too slow and keeps on hanging everytime..after that the major problem is that some of the applications get opened or settings of the phone get changed automatically like the language settings, app world, emails are vanishing etc. a few days ago my phone started turning to SOS even if i changed the network settings to manual..i am currently using idea service provider in it. i shifted the sim to another phone and it worked fine there. i thought of formatting the phone but didn't perform the operation till yet..what should i do??plz help..

You can consider formatting the phone by using security wipe. To do that make sure that you back up your device data and then Go to Options > Security > Security Wipe > type in 'blackberry' without quote. The device will start wiping all the data and ensure that your device has enough power or you can put the device on wall charger.

If performing above doesn't resolve the issue then consider updating/reinstalling your device OS.

You moved the SIM card to what kind of phone?

umm..i shifted the sim card to my nokia n79.. there the signal towers were full..it didn't show any SOS..but again when i shifted it to my blackberry, it started showing SOS.

Just because a SIM card works in one device, doesn't mean the same SIM card is good for another, or BlackBerry device. Doesn't mean the SIM card is good in your BlackBerry.
