I upgraded to BB App World to 1.0.35 my BB 9630 Tour from US Cellular running v5.0.0484. I have looked in the downloads folder, the apps folder, and every other folder I have on my phone just for GP for that matter but can not find the BB App World Icon. Under the Apps it says that it is installed. I have removed and reinstalled several times and done a battery pull VS a restart more than 10 times. The only thing I have not done is format the phone.
Thoughts and or ideas?

Have had the exact same problem, when you look at the BB solution their engineers know about this issue and currently there are no solutions to this. Makes me wonder why do they come out with upgrades and have them full of bugs and issues?

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
You are correct -- there were no "solutions" to this problem, only work arounds. But, RIM has released AppWorld 2.0 which, hopefully, does not suffer from this particular problem.
Good luck!
