I have had this same problem last few days.  I am not sure if it is related to the fact taht I just bought a

Motorola S305 MOTOROKRbluetooth headset and wonder if that corrupted some aspect of the Blackberry's speakerphone.  I uninstalled the Motorola S305 MOTOROK, rebooted and STILL no alarm or speakerphone.  HELP!

Hi,

Apparently if you remove battery (hard boot) and then put it back after 15-30 seconds it should work. I have done this twice over past few months. I hope thios helps.

Re: Blackberry Tour. Speakerphone and Alarm do not work.

I know this thread is a few months old, but I had the same problem today and I woke up late, and I'M A TEACHER. What is the point of having an alarm if it's unreliable? I figured out the battery pull fix because boyfriend used to have the same problem on his Curve every now and again. A battery pull is a work around, but I can't predict in the middle of the night that my alarm will stop sounding. I'm still calling to get this fixed...either a new phone or a non-Blackberry or whatever. It's ridiculous.

Sounds CRAZY, but I just fixed mine by tapping the speaker  port against a hard surface with about the same force as you would use to crack an egg against the side of a bowl.  I saw this on crackberry.com site and figured it was just crackberry enough to try.

Hope this helps.

Thanks tkrenning!

My mom's "Tour" was not ringing, nor was speakerphone working.  I was thinking I was going to have to order a replacement speaker but short of that I tried your egg-cracking tapping trick and it worked.

Thanks again.
