I am interested in upgrading to the Blackberry Tour 9630 when it comes out but I am wondering if the Non-Camera version has a slot for SD cards or if it is just the Camera version? The SD card can hold office documents that you will type using an eoffice version wether from dynoplex or Documents to go.

Here is a link to the information page about the Tour:
Any information beyond that is considered rumor and speculation until the device is formally released.

I know about the Micro SD card slot with camera and it comes with it as I saw through the Verizon website. Since I am with the Government and this is also my personal phone I am wondering about if I can use a Micro SD card with the Tour w/o a camera as stated in my opening post.

OK now that's making more sense. The SD card in BB's is not devoted to camera usage. It is referred to as a Media Card -- which means it is designed for storage of media files -- which can include pictures taken with the device, but is by no means limited to that. Indeed, the media card can be used to store pictures, videos, music, word files, excel files, etc. etc. etc. It's simply another location to store files -- just much larger than Device Memory. So, I think the answer is yes. However, since the device is not released, that should not be considered a definitive answer about that specific device -- rather a general answer as to how BB's interact with SD cards. But I'd not expect anything about that general answer to change with any new devices...that would be a major major major change to how things work.

Thanks! The reason I was asking was because the info currently on there sight says that a Micro SD card comes pre-installed only with the version with a camera but there isn't one that comes pre-installed with the non-camera version.

Oh...well, then I'd defer to that information. But I don't know where that information comes from, so can't vouch for it. Best advice...wait till it's released and then go and see for sure. It would be really really odd for RIM to leave out the SD card capability from any BB. But, what they might mean is that the SD card itself is only included in the camera version...the slot would therefore be empty in the non-camera version, and you'd have to buy an SD card separately. But again, that's just a guess on my part -- I have no firm information whatsoever.

I just checked their website and did a comparison but after it releases I will go in and double check, but it says removable media for both versions and hopefully the Micro SD card will be nowhere under the battery like in the 8330 Curve that I have.
