I am using a Blackberry Tour 9630 with Verizon. When I use the BB browser and go to m.google.com/sync, there is no way of downloading the app. I posted this problem on a Google help forum, and another user commented that the app will not download for IE or Mozilla either.

My gmail is working, but I cannot sync gmail contacts or google calendar.

Is there any way to get this to work?

I am having the same problem.  Had to redo my Tour and tried to reload Contacts and now Google Sync won't download, WTH!!

I am having the same issue with a BB Tour on Verizon.  Everything else is working fine and I was able to download the Google Maps App, as well.  It seems like the m.google.com/sync just does not have the active link at this time.....  Hopefully there is a fix soon so that I can finish setting the Tour up!!

Same issue here. Drove me nuts last night when I got a replacement BB from Verizon. I assume Google Sync is not compatible with v 4.7.1.61. Looking forward to a fix.

having same problem after swapping out defective tour for a new one today.

exact same problem... tour/verizon, got replacement phone and have restored everything.  gmail works, google maps, etc.  but i can't download google sync for the life of me.  please someone help resolve this!  there are hundreds of views of this link, so i'm wondering if it's a google problem.

I'm having the same issue ...

I just got a BlackBerry Tour 9630 with Verizon.

I tried downloading Sync both

(1) Through the web browser, and

(2) Though the Google Mobile App.

No luck so far.

I found a solution at the following forum: http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Calendar/thread?fid=0fdc51b229fbe6df000480ec40abf2c9&hl=en

1. Download the zip file GoogleSync_40_en.zip

2. With BB Desktop Manager, open Application Loader and browse to find (unzipped) GoogleSync_40_en folder.

3. Add to Applications and update your BB Tour.

It worked for me!
